Welcome to the PGC Newsletter.
We are hoping that this will be a simple and easy way to keep in touch with our customers to let you know what we have been doing and to give some indication on what will be coming up.
Queensland Model Railway Show
We exhibited at the Ipswich Museum at the end of October. As usual we were accompanied by Black Diamond Models. It was wonderful to see the amount of new kits coming out for the QR modeler which will see the amount of people interested in modeling QR expand over the years.
Glenn Wright and I had been working busily on our new layout "Coorparoo". The layout is again based on the Brisbane suburban network and is promoting the dual gauge running as we did with our previous layout "Fairfield". We were generally happy with the way it came together and with a few further modifications to the electronics will see an essentially automated layout.
QLX Louvered Van
We also released the new QLX Louvered Van at the Ipswich Show. We were very happy with the response to the kits and have received many compliments re the kit. We are the first manufacturer to offer a full kit in the QR market and with the feedback to date this will become a common practice with anything new that we release.
For those who may not have seen the website as yet the details are as follows:-
The QLX kits are a COMPLETE KIT, and include the following:-
- One Piece Urethane body
- Brass or whitemetal detailing parts.
- #58 Kadee Couplers.
- Bogie mounting Screws.
- Decals.
- Assembled 12mm whitemetal bogies.
PGC is offering the following options:-
PACK 1:- Twin Pack, Full Louvered Ends RRP $115-00
PACK 2:- Twin Pack, Part Louvered Ends RRP $115-00
PACK 3:- Twin Pack, One of each Variation RRP $115-00
PACK 4:- Single, Louvered End RRP $59.50
PACK 5:- Single, Part Louvered End $59.50
Ready to Run versions are also available at $85.00 each, for any version.
PGC also offers the suitable paint for the QLX, no matter what era you are modeling. Please send us an email should you have any further queries on this new release.
A further development for the modelers in the earlier eras we are currently finalising the QR Squiggle decal to go on the QLX. This will suit the modeler who is looking to date the wagons around the 70’s – 80’s particularly.
Of course these are available direct or through Horizon Hobbies.
Upcoming Models
We have the FG and FGM 4 wheel timber wagon almost ready for release. We are currently hoping that they will be available before Christmas and will provide you further details once completed.
